HATC & INTERNATIONAL EXTENDED CARE CENTER (IECC)

The signing of Memorandum of Agreement between Health Alliance Training Center & International Extended Care Center.
Health Alliance Training Center Volunteers and Staff Headed by Ms. Veronica Filipinas Saha RN, BSN, MAN HATC Program and Training Director, Mr. Sherwin O. Zuñiga HATC Administrator and External Affairs Director and Ms. Lucelyn Bedona Resoco HATC Executive Admin Secretary and Registrar were received by Ms. Dianne Maureen Ang, MSN, RN, CCE, IECC Training and Education Supervisor- QIP, Ms. Imelda Vista, IECC Acting Chief Quality officer, Mr. Marwan Allan, IECC Director of Nursing and Mr. Nasser Al Khalaf IECC Assistant. Director of Nursing to formally sign the Memorandum of Agreement by both parties. This newly formed relationship will be a tool for the trainees of Health Alliance Training to practice their skills in IECC. IECC officials explained the trainee's roles as well as their part in giving Hospital Exposures to HATC Graduates.
After the signing, Ms. Dianne Maureen Ang and Mr. Nasser Al Khalaf lead the way for the HATC Volunteers in touring the whole facility, they met the Department Heads, Staff and been shown the different Facilities IECC has to offer. IECC is one of the Hospitals in the Kingdom who is leading in
IEC is a healthcare services company providing medical, nursing, rehabilitation and therapy, critical and acute care to long-term patients. A patient is classified as long-term if he or she would require hospitalization for more than 4 weeks. IEC is a 200-bed facility known for its excellence in care. The greenery and beautiful natural landscape at IEC are what makes IEC different from a hospital and other long-term care centers. All direct and indirect care providers imbibe quality in their dispersion of care. The goal of the patient care team is to manage recuperation and improve quality of life.

Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah (PCGJ) through Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Office (POLO-OWWA) and Health Alliance Training Center (HATC) joined forces as they partnered for the REINTEGRATION PROGRAM for the Distressed OFW's in Bahay Kalinga Shelter. Meetings have been made over the past weeks for the finalization of this project, the COMPETENCY BASED SPECIAL CAREGIVER PROGRAM, Patterned from TESDA Caregiving NC II.
All things went well as they agreed to do this project as soon as possible. HATC team presented the program flow and the things to be done as the pieces of training progress. POLO & OWWA Team Headed by Labor Attache Nasser S. Mustafa with Assistant Labor Attache Delia S. Palomar, & OWWA Welfare Officer Rosemarie C. Cleofe took this initiative as a service for the Filipino People, LabAtt Nasser said these kinds of service is timely as our Distressed OFW's need to reintegrate. This will help them to gain new skills and start a new life. HATC will be spearheading the Caregiver Training all throughout the year. LabAtt Nasser's vision is to let these unfortunate OFWs stand again and be somebody someday through this program.
The 1st Batch of the training program will kick off on last week of February 2018!

Health Alliance Training Center (HATC) officially opened on November 4, 2017. HATC Volunteers opened our house to the Guests, Filipino Community Leaders, Philippine Nurses Association Jeddah President Ms. Neolie Prodigo ACTS OFW-OCL Congressman Mr. Venecio Vano Legaspi Legaspi, ACTS OFW-OCL Mr. Constantino Rany, ACTS OFW-OCL Ms. Muffy Daknash , ACTS OFW-OCL-FilCom Chairman Mr. Romy Capili, OCL Director Bernard Bulan and the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah Officials, Honorable Assistant Labor Attache Ms. Delia S. Palomar, Honorable DSWD Attache Ms. Priscilla Nidea Razon, Honorable OWWA Welfare Officer Ms. Rosemarie Cleofe, Honorable OWWA Welfare Officer Ms. Yulanda U. Peñaranda.
Started with a short program, cutting the ribbon, short presentation of HATC programs, visions and missions and the people behind the training center. The guests also did tour around the training center facilities that our trainees will be using throughout their training duration, the Nursing Skills Room, the Classrooms, Baby Station, Hospital setting bed, Basic Life Support training Equipment, then the celebration proceeded with the dinner, toasting ceremony and the ceremonial cutting of the cake.
Then the celebration didn't end yet, as Filipino's tradition, tossing of Coins and Candies/chocolates on the floor of the newly opened facility was present as well, everybody enjoyed the candies and chocolates tossed and scattered all over the place.

The Health Alliance Training Center volunteers namely, Ms. Veronica Filipinas Saha, RN, MAN (Vice Chairman of the Board & Program and Training Director), Mr. Sherwin O. Zuñiga (Board Auditor/External Affairs & Admin Financial Officer), Mrs. Lucelyn B. Resoco (Board Treasurer & Executive Admin Assistant/Registrar) paid a courtesy call to the Consul General of Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah Honorable Imelda M. Panolong. HATC volunteers were received by the Honorable Consul General along with the Consulate Department Officials, Assistant Labor Attache & POLO OIC Honorable Delia S. Palomar and OWWA Welfare Officer Honorable Rosemarie C. Cleofe.
Geared up with the HATC's Mission, Vision, and Values the HATC volunteers started the presentation of the Training Center to the Consulate Officials. During the course of the meeting, they discussed the importance of the training center to the welfare of the Filipinos wanting to gain knowledge in Caregiving. Particularly to those individuals who are in the Household sectors. The Consul General reiterate and acknowledge the efforts of Filipino Communities/Organization in helping fellow OFW's alleviate their lives through this kind of training and other activities, not just to the Western Region but Kingdom wide.
The meeting discussed matters on how the training center will be beneficial to the Filipinos in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. The Consul General also added that the Consulate & POLO are now partners of HATC in providing training and other activities for the benefit of OFW's. HATC and POLO also opened up about giving seminars and pieces of training in basic topics in caregiving to the wards in Bahay Kalinga, a shelter for Distressed OFW's.

IVETA is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of high-quality vocational education and training throughout the world. IVETA is working to create a new era in communication among vocational educators across the globe. Members include practitioners, researchers, and students in the field of vocational education and training as well as institutions, organizations, and companies actively engaged in human resource development.
